Davies Group, a prominent professional services and technology firm, had recently acquired Service Tick and sought to consolidate their Norwich operations into a prestigious, modern workspace.
This project was not merely about relocating; it was about creating an environment that reflected Davies Group’s commitment to innovation, technology, and employee well-being in the post-pandemic era.
The new 2,356 sqft office needed to embody the company’s dynamic culture and facilitate seamless collaboration and productivity.

The brief
- The project manager at Davies Group had a clear vision for the new office, and iQ Workspace was tasked with translating this vision into a tangible reality.
- The brief emphasised the need for a workspace that would accommodate a modern, hybrid working model.
- Davies Group aimed to create an environment where employees felt comfortable and inspired, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
- The design was to incorporate a “scandi” aesthetic, featuring natural wood tones and clean lines, reflecting a contemporary and relaxed atmosphere.
- The brief also highlighted the importance of ergonomic solutions and flexible spaces that could adapt to the evolving needs of the team.
- The color palette was to be inspired by the corporate colors of the various divisions, and the design needed to facilitate both focused work and informal collaboration.
The challenges
The primary challenge was to create a harmonious blend of functionality and style within the constraints of the office space.
iQ Workspace needed to:
- Translate a 2D sketch into a comprehensive 3D visual which was crucial for Davies Group to fully visualise and refine the layout and flow of the new office.
- Select furniture that aligned with the “scandi” aesthetic, ensuring the chosen pieces provided both aesthetic appeal and practical functionality was paramount.
- Incorporate ergonomic solutions including a mix of task seating and other furniture needed to prioritise employee comfort and well-being.
- Create flexible breakout spaces needed to facilitate both informal meetings and individual relaxation.
- Integrate a staff locker system which had to be seamlessly integrated into the design to support the hybrid working model.
- Coordinate the color palette ensuring the selected furniture and finishes complemented the corporate color scheme was essential.
- Cable management ensuring a clean and uncluttered workspace was delivered.
The results
iQ Workspace successfully delivered a workspace that exceeded Davies Group's expectations. The final result was a modern, collaborative, and ergonomic office that reflected the company's culture and values.

- Choice personal storage lockers offered secure storage for employees, facilitating the hybrid working model.
- 3D visualisation allowed the client to accurately view and modify the office design prior to installation.
