The coming year will see office transformation become de rigueur, as enhanced workspace utilisation and office furniture investment become growing trends.
Driven by a mass return to work, office changes are inevitable to maintain safe and happy workplaces for workers, but also to create more efficient business hubs, as flexible working becomes the normal.
For many businesses in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex, a balance needs to be struck between the benefits and the cost in time and money, of workspace transformation.
Streamlining office change
At iQ Workspace, the journey to workplace efficiency and well-being is a tried and trusted one, using processes that eliminate headaches for CEOs, heads of finance, facilities management and IT leaders.
Our ethos is that creating the ideal workplace should be achievable and easy for any business, from giant corporations to small, local companies.
Experience and collaboration have helped iQ Workplace to finesse its approach to delivering the ideal workplace concept through processes, that allow the customer to set the agenda from the outset.
We are aware that every customer is different and developing the perfect solution requires an innate ability to listen. We take nothing to the initial meeting, other than our ears – and we listen to understand.
Putting the customer in charge
iQ Workspace will visit the premises to take stock on space, headcount and to carry out audits on workplace utilisation and existing furniture and layout. Providing a plan of the building, with accurate measurements, is essential, to help iQ Workspace to create a visual, virtual workplace.
Customer aspiration is absolutely at the heart of this process.
The client will put together a collective sense of what is required to create the perfect working environment. This stage may be the sole domain of the business owner or for larger companies, might involve input from different departments, outlining their challenges and desired outcomes.
In each case, we will encourage the individual stakeholders to list their priorities and to rank them. As a group, they will collaboratively prioritise the main issues from these lists, to focus on what is most important to the business.
With the building outline and a briefing from the customer, our business has the knowledge, capabilities and in-house technology to create visual scenarios that exceed expectations. These presentations can often be turned around in 2-3 working days, depending on the complexity.
The customer then provides feedback on the visual recommendations and any changes they wish to make.
Finally, iQ Workspace, who work with a huge and diverse range of furniture suppliers, will provide a number of furniture options, depending on the customer’s budget.
Lead times for furniture delivery vary but are typically between 4-6 weeks from order. We will arrange for the furniture manufacturer to deliver either to the site for our installation, or to the installer’s office, if this is outsourced.
All of iQ Workspace’s installers are uniquely manufacturer-trained.
Why act now?
Workplace redesign is not only the future, but the present.
Offices will become destinations rather than the focal point for 8 hours of the day, serving as rendezvous areas. However, these buildings will still need space for concentrated work.
Often the solution could be agile working, where the same office space can be used for different needs, utilising smart office furniture innovation.
